Celebrating first anniversary

We caught up with Blackbourn & Bond who recently celebrated their first anniversary as one of the first of a new kind of law firms known as an 'LDP'. The firm has been established for seven years but, true to their innovative and entrepreneurial character, were one of the first fourteen law firms in the country to take advantage of the rule change allowing law firms to have non-lawyer owner/managers.
The firm took on an experienced businessman with a strong background in the automotive trade in particular, who joined the firm in April 2009 to help it develop and expand its range of services to include the benefit of his own strategic business advice - a move which led to the firm being profiled in the national magazine 'The Lawyer'.
